Nixe III :: The name of the project

We visited Helga Schwendinger, who a few years ago completed a doctoral thesis on Archduke Ludwig Salvator. When we told her about our project, she said: “Ah! You’re the crew of the Nixe III. With that name I’ll be sure to remember you well.” In truth, we had not reflected on this point. But after Helga put it that way, we were left with little doubt as to what to name our project. Helga offered to help us with anything that didn’t have to do with sailing: “I’ll give you a hand with anything but the boat; there’s no way I’m going out on that thing.”
