All the drawings were done by the painters Emilio Lauffer, Guido Manes and Pedro Maixner, while the watercolours were done by the author and under his supervision. As a general rule, they are representations of costumes or types. In addition, the majority have local landscapes in the background.
The forty-five edited here depict an equal number of men’s and women’s costumes.
In fact, the Archduke returned to this book to complete it, specifically with the following book, “What disappears,” published in 1904.
