Lo que dice el Arxiduc:

The Archduke Ludwig Salvator set out to completely record these costumes. Unfortunately and for reasons unknown, he was unable to completely finish his work.

Die Serben an der Adria. Ihre Typen und Trachten, Leipzig/Vienna 1870-78;

45 lithographs

Das was verschwindet. Trachten aus den Bergen und Inseln der Adria, Leipzig

1905; 87 lithographs >

All the drawings were done by the painters Emilio Lauffer, Guido Manes and Pedro Maixner, while the watercolours were done by the author and under his supervision. As a general rule, they are representations of costumes or types. In addition, the majority have local landscapes in the background.

The forty-five edited here depict an equal number of men’s and women’s costumes.

Datos proyecto Nixe III:

In fact, the Archduke returned to this book to complete it, specifically with the following book, “What disappears,” published in 1904.
