The center of Tunis has been fairly well preserved, though in some neighborhoods this care has only been mediocre. The monuments and mosques are in good condition.
Visiting Carthage is a must, and Sidi Bou Said’s Mediterranean architecture, though at times sterile, is also worth seeing.
