We saw a variety of manufacturing complexes and warehouses on the outskirts of the city. We also noticed heavy industrial plants.

The city’s commercial effervescence is also patent. Traditional shops in the center coexist with large shopping centers on the outskirts.
Lastly, tourism is concentrated in several areas, though the medina, Carthage and Sidi Bou Said are the primary attractions.
