Flora in Ichkeul

On the eastern slope of the mountain closing off Ichkeul lagoon, we found olive trees and junipers, mostly along the south. The junipers are found around the entire lagoon. In marshier areas we also saw reeds.
Mastics abound on the western slope, the one with the majority of look-out points, though we also saw a lot of olive trees and bushes from the cupressaceae (cypress) family.
