“Abd-el-Kader fortress’ current breakwater measures approximately 180 meters long, and, in front of the casbah, is where a 90-meter dock is going to be built to export phosphates with a perpendicular 80-meter breakwater. There will be a 190-meter wide opening between both docks. Bejaia’s new port will measure 23 hectares, 12 of which will be dredged to a depth of 7 meters and 11 up to 8 meters.”
