Lo que dice el Arxiduc:

“From the casbah fortress, you can see the Bab-al-Andless gateway and the neighbourhood of the same name behind, the flat rooftops as well as the warehouse for the bank of Algeria on the same shore.

Andless is the neighbourhood of the Andalusians which, as we’ve already commented, is where the Moors expelled from Spain settled. Their descendants still live here, following the customs of their ancestors, distinguishing them from the rest of the inhabitants.”

Archduke Ludwig Salvator of Austria, Bizerte, J. Rothschild, Paris, 1900 (Prague, 1897)

Datos proyecto Nixe III:

We went for a walk around the Andalusian quarter and saw small, slightly smaller square houses in various colors. The houses look fairly worn down, and we can imagine that the neighborhood looks similar to what the Archduke saw in his time.
