Lo que dice el Arxiduc:

“In this African Venice, the summer is cooler than in Tunis, and it’s colder in winter. Autumn begins in October with rains. In January, winds from the west or north often cover the mountains with snow. In March, spring ( Er Rhia or “the vegetable”) is reborn, lasting until the end of May or June. In summer, the winds from the northeast or east predominate, cooling down the temperature considerably. Only on those days when the sirocco winds blow does it get humid and sticky.”

Archduke Ludwig Salvator of Austria, Bizerte, J. Rothschild, Paris, 1900 (Prague, 1897)

Datos proyecto Nixe III:

We returned to Bizerte at the end of July to finalize our comparison. We arrived with an easterly wind which got progressively calmer. However, we didn’t need the Sirocco wind, as the Archduke mentioned, to experience one of the hottest days there. We visited Ichkeul lagoon the following day, and a fairly strong wind from the west reduced the heat somewhat.
