Lo que dice el Arxiduc:

“There < Sminca Cape > are numerous freshwater springs running towards the valley and, on the other side, from the peak to the sea. That is why women from Buccarizza (Bakarac), which is close by, come here to wash their clothes. We can see them in rows, with only their hips covered, standing for hours and hours while they hit the clothes lying on top of dark rocks with wooden mallets. The sound of their noisy work echoes throughout this tranquil valley. Small girls also take part. Because they are still too weak for this task, they are in charge of taking the clean clothes to the rocks above to dry.”

A.L.S.: Buccari, Prague 1871

Datos proyecto Nixe III:

We didn’t have the chance to visit the place the Archduke mentioned in Bakarac. However, a large pool near the shore in Bakar called our attention.
